Raisin Cream Pie(Makes 2 Pies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick oleo, melted
    4 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    5 level Tbsp. cornstarch
    6 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    1 c. raisins, cooked and drained
    2 (9-inch) pie crusts, baked
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch, butter and salt until smooth.
    Add milk and beaten egg yolks.
    Cook until thick.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar and 1 cup sugar.
    Beat some more.
    Put meringue on pies and brown in 375\u00b0 oven.
    Can divide recipe and make 1 pie.
