German Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage, shredded
    1 large onion, sliced thin
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Alternate layers of cabbage and onion.
    Sprinkle sugar over the top of mixture immediately.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Pour over cabbage mixture immediately.
    Stir to blend. Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours before serving. Will keep in refrigerator for several days.
