Grass Soup(Polish Kvas) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 bunches leaf lettuce, chopped
    3 bunches green onions, chopped (green parts only)
    6 medium cucumbers, chopped and take seeds out
    32 oz. sour cream
    4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash and chop lettuce.
    Put into container.
    Put 4 tablespoons (to be deducted from amount in ingredients) of vinegar, 12 ice cubes and 1/2 cup water over lettuce.
    Chill (if time permits, overnight).
    Combine lettuce, cucumbers and onions.
    Add water until it starts showing through the vegetables as you press on vegetables with a spoon.
    Add sour cream.
    Add salt and vinegar. Amounts listed are what I used.
    You may want to start with less and add to taste.
