Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. butter or oil
pepper flakes and/or green onions
garlic powder
1 egg

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Add milk, water, oil and egg.
Beat well. Fry in hot oil until brown and done in middle.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls.
