Turkey And Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 to 18 lb. turkey
    1 doz. eggs
    36 cornbread muffins, crumbled
    8 slices dried toast, crumbled
    1 large onion, diced
    12 stalks celery, diced
    pepper to taste
    6 to 8 cans chicken broth
    1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
    bacon drippings
    sage to taste
    salt
    shortening
Preparation
    Turkey:
    Remove giblets and neck from turkey.
    Wash turkey. Spread melted shortening on turkey and then shake on salt.
    Cover; leave some air.
    Add 3 cups water and cook in a 325\u00b0 preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes per pound.
    After about 1 hour, uncover to brown.
    (Cook giblets in pan with turkey.)
