Fried Eggplant - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 eggplant, sliced 1/2-inch thick
    egg
    1/4 c. milk
    fine cracker crumbs
    Crisco and butter for frying (half of each)
Preparation
    Pare eggplant and slice.
    Beat egg with milk.
    Dip the eggplant in egg, then in fine cracker crumbs.
    Fry in Crisco and butter until nicely brown.
    Do not fry to fast.
