Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 large can pineapple slices, drained
maraschino cherries
1 c. chopped pecans
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. pineapple juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy (cast-iron) skillet or baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over butter.
Arrange drained fruit in an attractive pattern on butter-sugar mixture.
Sprinkle with finely chopped pecans
