Picante Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 c. tomatoes, peeled and chopped (use food processor)
4 c. onions, chopped
1/4 to 1/2 c. cayenne peppers, chopped
1/4 c. salt
1 tsp. alum
2 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
-
Simmer 1 1/2 hours or until thickened as you like it.
Put into pint jars and process 30 minutes in boiling water bath. Makes 10 pints.
