Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
cooked beets
Preparation

Mix cornstarch and sugar.
Add vinegar and water; boil 5 minutes.
Add beets and let stand 30 minutes to thicken.
Just before serving, heat on low and add butter (5 to 10 minutes).
