Banana Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 slightly beaten egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 or 2 speckled yellow bananas, sliced
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    meringue (recipe follows)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour and salt in a saucepan.
    Gradually stir in milk and stir to remove lumps.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture boils.
    Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes more.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir a small amount of the hot mixture into beaten egg yolks and return to the hot mixture.
    Cook 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Slice bananas into pie shell.
    Pour hot milk mixture over bananas.
    Top with meringue and bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until meringue just begins to brown.
