Amish Turtle Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 can condensed milk
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white Karo
Preparation
    Mix together and bring to a boil for 12 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and let cool.
    Using 1 pound crushed pecans, lay by tablespoon on wax paper. When candy is cool, pour over nuts with spoon. Let sit and cover with melted coating chocolate.
