Toasted Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. regular rice
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped pecans
3 c. water
1 1/2 c. finely diced celery
1/2 c. butter
3/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
salt and pepper
Preparation

Spread rice in shallow pan and toast until light brown, about 20 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
Stir occasionally.
Place rice in large pan.
Add water and salt and bring to a boiling point.
Cover tightly, lower heat and simmer 14 minutes.
Remove lid and let rice steam until just dry.
