Nobby Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg, beaten
1 c. sifted flour
3 c. diced apples
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat well.
Mix dry ingredients and sift.
Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in diced apples, nuts and vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured oblong cake pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve hot with whipped cream or ice cream.
