Old Canton Cafe Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    6 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dab of butter
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix sugar, milk and butter; let steam, but nut boil.
    Beat eggs with fork; stir into milk mixture.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into baking dish.
    Sprinkle top with nutmeg.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 until inserted knife comes out clean.
