Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
    1 onion, finely chopped
    1 large carrot, finely chopped
    1 beef stock cube
    1/2 tsp. mixed herbs
    seasoning to taste
    2 sticks celery, finely chopped
    2 green onions (shallots), chopped
    1 1/2 lb. potatoes, cooked and drained
    1 oz. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Heat oil in a large pan and saut meat, onions and carrot over a high heat until golden brown.
    Add crumbled stock cube, mixed herbs, seasoning, celery and green onions (shallots).
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Spoon into greased ovenproof casserole.
    Mash potatoes with butter and milk and spoon onto meat.
    Brush with lightly beaten egg and bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6.
