Pasta With Chicken And Sausage Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. hot Italian sausage
1 1/2 tsp. olive oil
1 onion, sliced
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 1/2 (28 oz.) can plum tomatoes, drained and chopped
1 1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. thyme
salt and pepper
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut in 1/2-inch strips
1/2 c. minced parsley
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/2 lb. dry pasta
Preparation

Cut the sausage into slices.
Put the oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Brown the sausage.
Add onion to pan and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
Add garlic and cook 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes, basil, thyme and salt and pepper.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes.
Add chicken, parsley and red pepper and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Season to taste.
