Pickled Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 3 qt. bell peppers
    1 pt. sliced onions
    4 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Slice peppers and onions; sprinkle with salt.
    Let stand in a tightly covered container for 1 hour.
    Drain liquid left in bottom of container before using.
    Place in sterilized jars and cover with spiced vinegar.
