Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    1/3 c. flour
    1 onion, sliced
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    2 carrots, sliced
Preparation
    Cut round steak into serving portions and press with flour. Brown meat on all sides in a little fat in heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
    Add onion, carrots and tomatoes.
    Cover and simmer gently about 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender.
    Can be served with hot buttered noodles.
