Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    2 Tbsp. water
    4 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    4 c. plain flour (all-purpose)
    2 c. chopped pecans
    additional confectioners sugar (to dust with)
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
    Add water and vanilla.
    Mix well. Gradually add flour.
    Fold in pecans. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
    Place balls on ungreased baking sheet and flatten with finger.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. When cool, dust with sugar.
    Makes about 5 or 6 dozen.
