Bob'S Tomato And Carrot Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, ground or chopped
    3 to 4 garlic cloves, chopped
    4 to 5 carrots, chopped
    olive oil
    can of Italian tomatoes with basil
    Hunt's tomato sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
    hot red pepper flakes
Preparation
    In a large skillet, saute onion and garlic in olive oil (5 to 10 minutes or until wilted, but not brown).
    Add chopped carrots and more oil; saute for another 5 minutes.
    Add can of tomatoes and chop them with a spoon.
    If not enough liquid, add can of tomato sauce.
    Add salt, pepper and hot red pepper to taste.
    Add some fresh basil.
    Simmer for 1 hour or until sauce cooks down. Serve sauce over rigatoni.
