Chinese Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 (6 oz.) box dates, chopped
    2 c. pecans
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift
    flour,
    sugar and baking
    powder
    together.
    Work dates in flour mixture.
    Add pecans, then
    add slightly beaten eggs. Mix together but do not cream.
    Bake at
    250\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Sprinkle powdered sugar on top while warm.
    After cool, cut in squares.
