Casserole Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 1/4 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water with shortening and sugar.
    Add salt.
    With mixer, blend in 1/2 the flour until well mixed.
    Add rest of flour and mix well.
    Cover with dish cloth and let rise until double in bulk (about 50 minutes).
    Beat down dough with a spoon, at least 25 strokes.
    Spoon into a lightly greased, 2-quart casserole or loaf pan.
    Let rise again until double in bulk.
    Place in a cold oven, set at 375\u00b0 and bake 45 to 50 minutes.
