Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks oleo
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    8 eggs
    3 c. flour, sifted
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream together oleo and sugar.
    Beat eggs and cream of tartar. Add these mixtures together, alternating with flour.
    After all ingredients are blended, set mixer at medium speed and beat for 10 minutes.
    Vanilla may be added, however, this cake has enough flavor without it.
    Put batter in a tube pan that has been well-greased and floured.
    Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes in a 300\u00b0 oven.
    Don't open oven door while cake is baking.
