Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. firmly packed C & H dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. milk
3 c. C & H powdered sugar
Preparation

Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan; stir in brown sugar and salt. Bring to rolling boil and boil rapidly for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in milk, then return to rolling boil.
Cool 20 minutes or until lukewarm.
Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and cool enough to spread.
If frosting stiffens too quickly while spreading, beat in several drops of milk.
Frosts 2 (8 or 9-inch) layers.
Serves 6 to 8.
