Strawberry Rhubarb Pie - cooking recipe

1 (9-inch) pastry for 2-crust pie
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel (optional)
2 c. sliced strawberries
2 c. rhubarb, cut up into 1/2-inch pieces
2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation

Prepare pastry.
Mix the sugar, flour and orange peel.
Mix strawberries and rhubarb together; put half of the mixture into pastry lined pie plate.
Sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining strawberry-rhubarb and sugar mixtures.
Dot with margarine.
Cover with top crust.
Cut slits into the top crust; seal and flute.
Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
Bake at 425\u00b0 until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through the slits in crust, 40 to 50 minutes.
