Date And Coconut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. pecans
    coconut or powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cut dates into small pieces.
    Mix together with sugar and beaten egg in saucepan.
    Cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
    Add vanilla, Rice Krispies and pecans.
    Dampen hands and form into balls.
    Roll in coconut or powdered sugar.
