Macaroni Salad(Serves 12) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. thick bacon slices
    12 oz. elbow macaroni
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    10 oz. crimini or button mushrooms, sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed and drained
Preparation
    Cook bacon.
    Drain.
    Coarsely chop.
    Cook pasta in salted water.
    Drain, rinse in cold water and drain.
    Whisk mayonnaise, buttermilk, lemon juice, mustard and sugar.
    Add pasta, bacon, mushrooms and peas.
    Toss.
    Season with salt and pepper.
