Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 extra large eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. uncooked oatmeal (quick or old fashioned)
    1 stick margarine
    1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
    Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes.
    Add brown and white sugars and margarine.
    Stir until margarine melts.
    Add eggs.
    Mix well.
    Sift together flour, soda, salt and cocoa.
    Add flour to sugar mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add about half of the package of chocolate bits.
    Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle walnuts and remaining chocolate bits on top.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
