Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening or oil
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
6 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. hot water

Preparation

Mix ingredients in order given.
Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes (test with toothpick).
Top with Chocolate Peanut Butter Sauce (recipe in this cookbook).
