Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 1/4 c. applesauce
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
nutmeats (optional)

Preparation

Cream together the sugar, shortening, raisins and applesauce. Sift flour, spices and baking soda together.
Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 in a greased and floured tube pan for approximately 1 hour.
