Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. butter
    4 oz. flour
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 green bell pepper, diced
    1 tsp. garlic, minced
    6 oz. okra, sliced
    4 c. chicken broth
    2 c. clam juice, bottled
    1 lb. shrimp, raw, peeled, and deveined
    dash Tabasco
    2 c. rice, cooked
Preparation
    Melt the butter in a heavy soup pot; whisk in flour and cook stirring frequently over medium low flame until medium brown.
    Add the vegetables and stir.
    Add the liquids and bring to a simmer. Add the shrimp and simmer until the vegetables are soft. (45 - 60 minutes)
    Check seasonings.
    Serve warm over rice.
