Jeannette'S Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. Karo corn syrup
1 lb. of good oleo
2 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
vanilla to taste
nuts to taste
Preparation

In a heavy pan, heat syrup to boil. Add oleo, bring to boil. Add sugar, bring to boil. Add milk, bring to boil. Lower heat and cook to soft ball stage (\"firm\"). Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into buttered pan. Cool and cut.
