Cinnamon Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. sliced cucumbers
    lime water (2 c. lime to 2 gal. water)
    cold water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. alum
    1 small bottle red food coloring
Preparation
    Mix vinegar, alum and food coloring.
    Simmer 2 hours, then drain and discard water.
