Red Cinnamon Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. (about 15) large cucumbers
    2 c. dehydrated lime
    8-1/2 qt. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 small bottle red food coloring
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    2 pkg. Red Hot candies
    10 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. alum
    4 to 6 cinnamon sticks
Preparation
    Peel and core cucumbers, slice into 1/2 inch rings. Soak in lime water for 24 hours, drain, rinse with clean water until clear. Pour cold water over rings and cover with ice, soak for 3 hours, drain.
