Nana'S Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar and salt in large bowl and set aside.
In saucepan put butter, water and cocoa and bring to boil.
Pour over flour mixture.
Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla. Pour into greased cookie sheet with sides and bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 - 15 minutes.
Frosting:
Put 1/3 c. buttermilk, 1/4 c. cocoa and a stick of butter in saucepan and bring to boil.
While boiling add 1 lb powdered sugar, pinch of salt and 1 tsp. vanilla.
Pour over warm brownies.
These are my Grandmother's brownies and they are heavenly!!
