Christmas Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
    2 lb. powdered sugar, sifted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 tsp. salt
    8 blocks or squares semi-sweet chocolate
    1/4 lb. paraffin
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine.
    Add milk.
    Gradually add 2 pounds sifted powdered sugar, vanilla, and pecans.
    Mix using hands.
    Mix in salt.
    Make into balls about the size of walnuts.
    Let stand 1 or 2 hours or until they become a little dry.
    Melt chocolate in top of double boiler.
    Add 1/4 pound or 1 block of paraffin.
    Be careful, it is very flammable.
    With a fork, put each ball into chocolate mixture, one or two at a time.
    When completely covered, remove to an oiled or buttered platter.
    Let stand until they harden.
