Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shredded carrot
    1 medium onion, chopped
    5 c. peeled, cubed potatoes
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    In large pot, bring 5 cups water to a boil.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Prepare, then add the carrots; prepare and add the onion; prepare and add the potatoes.
    After potatoes are just tender, add margarine and let melt.
    Mix together 1 cup milk and flour and stir into soup, stirring constantly (will be very thick).
    Add 1 1/2 cups more milk and let simmer for 15 minutes.
