Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
4 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and spices.
Blend in shortening, sweet potatoes and milk.
Should make a stiff dough. Flour counter surface.
Pat dough to 3/4-inch thickness.
Cut biscuits with small juice glass or 3-inch cookie cutter.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
