Parker House Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 beaten eggs
    7 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Scald milk.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt.
    Mix well and let cool to just warm.
    Add eggs and flour. Mix all items together, beating vigorously.
    Knead well.
    Let rise until double.
    Be sure to oil dough so it will not form a crust on outside as it rises.
    A dampened cloth used to cover dough also helps.
    Roll out on a lightly floured board.
    Cut into shape and size desired.
    Fold and let rise for 15 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
    Can be frozen.
