Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Karo syrup
    1 c. pecans
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Boil Karo syrup and pecans until a thread forms.
    Remove from fire, add the soda and beat until soda is mixed.
    Add pecans and spread on a buttered tin.
    Break up when cooled.
