Chinese Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. coconut
    2 well beaten eggs
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients, then add nuts, dates, coconut and well beaten eggs.
    Add vanilla.
    Spread the mixture about 1/2-inch thick in a buttered pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Remove pan from oven.
    Cut in strips while still warm and roll in granulated sugar or roll in balls, then in sugar.
