Pineapple Slices - cooking recipe

3/4 c. scalded milk, cooled
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1 cake yeast
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 cans crushed pineapple
3/4 c. pineapple juice
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
Preparation

Dissolve sugar and yeast in lukewarm milk; set aside.
Sift, then measure flour.
Add shortening as in pie crust; mix well. Add milk, eggs and mix into flour mixture.
Divide dough into 2 parts and roll to fit pan (about 12 x 14-inch).
Spread filling on dough and let rise for about 1 hour.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
