Cheddar Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash browns
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 c. condensed cream of chicken soup (can add or substitute cream of potato soup)
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 c. cornflake crumbs (optional)
    1/2 c. butter, melted
Preparation
    Combine potatoes and 1/2 cup melted butter.
    Stir soup, sour cream, onion, cheese, salt and pepper.
    Place in greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Combine cornflake crumbs and 1/2 cup melted butter.
    Sprinkle over top.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Uncover and bake for 20 minutes more (until browned). Serves 12.
