Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 lb. hamburger (very lean)
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 can kidney beans
12 oz. tomato juice
1 can tomato soup
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. paprika
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
several dashes of crushed red pepper
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. water
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Brown hamburger.
Add onion and green pepper.
Add all other ingredients except 1/2 cup water and cornstarch.
Heat until boiling and simmer for 1/2 hour.
Combine remaining water and cornstarch.
Add to chili, a little at a time, stirring and cooking for 1 minute after each addition until you have reached the desired thickness.
Simmer up to 1/2 hour longer.
Freezes well.
