Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. Wesson or Crisco oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vinegar
2 (1 oz.) bottles red food color
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar and oil.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add vinegar and red food coloring.
Beat well. Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with buttermilk.
Add vanilla and beat well.
Pour into cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
(One cup of nuts can be added to batter, if you wish.)
