Fried Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, chopped
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 lb. bacon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
Preparation
    Mix
    water,
    vinegar and sugar together; heat until all ingredients
    are dissolved.
    Set aside.
    Fry bacon;
    drain and leave only enough drippings in skillet to fry the cabbage; fry for about 5 to 10 minutes, until tender and slightly browned. Add salt, pepper, water, vinegar and sugar mixture.
    Sprinkle crushed red pepper on top and simmer 5 more minutes.
    Top with crisp bacon.
