Raw Pear Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. ground pears, uncooked
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Drain juice from ground pears.
    Add soda to pears and let stand.
    Cream shortening and sugars together.
    Add egg and mix well.
    Add pear mixture, flour, salt and cinnamon.
    Bake in a 9 x 10-inch greased pan, about 40 minutes, in a 350\u00b0 oven.
