Melt-A-Way Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup macaroni, uncooked
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
dash of thyme
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups chopped turkey or chicken
4 oz. Cheddar cheese
1 cup bread or biscuit crumbs
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. minced parsley
Preparation

Cook macaroni until tender. Melt the 1/4 cup butter and add onions, cook over low heat about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and thyme. Gradually add milk and cook stirring constantly until thickened. Arrange half of macaroni in lightly greased 2 quart baking dish. Layer half the meat over macaroni. Put cheese on top and repeat layers. Pour thickened sauce over all. Combine crumbs, 2 Tbsp. butter and parsley. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
