Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. cubed French or Italian bread or biscuits
    1 apple, peeled, cored and grated
    1 c. raisins
    3 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    pinch of salt
    butter
    sauce*
