Johnny Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1/2 c. unbleached flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. maple syrup (you can substitute brown sugar)
    1 egg
    2 tsp. corn oil
Preparation
    Measure dry ingredients into small bowl and set aside. Measure the remaining ingredients into a blender and blend well. Then add cornmeal mixture.
    Blend only until mixed, not a minute more.
    Pour into buttered 8-inch pan or muffin tins.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
